Weathered Decro Face Block are produced using standard CMU shapes and sizes, and then the face of the block is sandblasted to create a weathered texture. The texture can be varied by adjusting the force of the sandblaster to create different blast depths and by adjusting the aggregates in the mix design to create relief that is fine, medium or course.
The Weathered Decro Face process is an excellent choice when a contrasting accent band or smooth surface mounting item such as light fixtures or signs is desired.
These units can require less maintenance versus Ground Face CMU for exterior applications. Weathered Decro Face units typically are not coated with a color enhancing coating, saving money at the time of construction and recoating costs in the future.
