The Korfil Hi-R H series of pre-insulated cmu were developed by Korfil and the Concrete Products Group to meet the more demanding thermal requirements of today’s energy code. Korfil Hi-R H uses one partial web to reduce thermal bridging. ASTM C90 requires a minimum web area to transfer stresses between faceshells. Hi-R H exceeds the ASTM C90 requirements.

HI-R H block are a pre-insulated fully grouted masonry wall systems that offer superior thermal performance. The modification to the web allow for a tighter fit to the factory installed insulation insert whose overlapping design creates one of the tightest fitting integral insulation systems currently available. Because of the single cross web, these walls are solidly grouted, creating a wall system with no voids for moisture to come through.

For a more “brick like” appearance, both inside and out, Hi-R H Spec Brik fits the bill. Units are available in a range of earth tone colors that can easily meet today’s Energy Code requirements. CMU are manufactured to order in a 12x4x16 dimension, with a 12x4x16 HI R H Spec Brik Universal Jamb available for the fitting units.
